SSW was established as a non-profit organization in 2001. Since its inception, the goal of SSW had been to drive value through the regionalization of strategic sourcing. SSW has evolved into a shared service provider, allowing for the full continuum of Supply Chain Services (Procure to Pay - P2P) to our equity Member Hospitals:

By providing integrated P2P service delivery to our hospitals, SSW has been able to drive value for our members through cost savings generated by economies of scale and process efficiency.
Healthcare today is facing significant pressures from both external and internal sources. Lack of sufficient funding coupled with budgetary deficits creates a need to find and drive greater value within existing processes. The reality of an aging and diverse population requires greater focus be directed to patient care. As with supply chain, SSW is in a position to support our members further through even greater back-office service collaboration in order to drive greater value.
The Board of Directors and the Senior Management Team have been actively shaping the strategic direction of SSW to define an organization that will support our member and customer Hospital needs to find value and place greater focus on the patient.
